Residential Field Service Manager

Location: Quality Irrigation – Omaha, NE (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary: $65,000–$95,000 per year

Position Overview

The Residential Field Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Residential Irrigation Service Department, including managing production and supporting a team of irrigation technicians. This leadership role is focused on delivering efficient, high-quality service, developing team talent, and driving performance within the residential division.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Production Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the Residential Irrigation Service Team

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and direct service and enhancement work to ensure on-time, high-quality execution

  • Review and submit daily labor hours and weekly billing for enhancement work

  • Maintain department inventory and update pricing regularly

  • Maintain up-to-date information on customer gain/loss to ensure accurate service delivery

Team Leadership & Development

  • Maintain discipline and high standards of professionalism across the department

  • Recruit, train, and evaluate irrigation technicians

  • Provide daily field support, including phone, text, and on-site visits

  • Conduct performance evaluations and enforce discipline per HR procedures

  • Develop training and SOPs for service operations

Quality & Customer Focus

  • Perform in-field follow-ups to verify job completion and service quality

  • Analyze and diagnose issues to ensure efficient problem-solving and customer satisfaction

  • Provide enhancement proposals and support AMs and Operations Manager with client needs

  • Maintain strong communication with customers, offering professional guidance and support

Safety & Efficiency

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all procedures

  • Evaluate and improve methods for operational safety and efficiency

  • Practice and model company safety behaviors at all times

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience in field services or a service-based industry

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills

Preferred

  • 1–3 years in a previous leadership role

  • Experience in residential irrigation service and enhancements

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent hand and arm motions, and extended periods of sitting

  • Regular physical demands including standing, walking, lifting, crouching, and crawling

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

  • Must be able to travel locally up to 50% of the time

  • Work environment typically has a low to moderate noise level
