Field Service Manager

Job Class: Salary-Exempt Reports to: Residential Service Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Field Service Manager is responsible for leading a team of irrigation technicians. You will oversee day-to-day operations of the technicians as well as manage their production. You will help build an effective team by developing employees and working with them to build and support a team environment.

· Accurately analyze, diagnose, and correct problems as they are identified.

· Effectively communicate and provide professional advice to customers.

· Work with Service and Operations Managers to achieve goals.

· Provide estimates for elevated scopes of work

· Plan, schedule, coordinate, and direct irrigation service operations daily ensuring deadlines are achieved in a safe, efficient manner.

· Daily “in the field” follow up on properties related to completed work, scheduled work, and/or identification of new sales opportunities.

· Daily support of irrigation technicians through phone calls, texts, and on-site visits.

· Maintain proper vehicle inventory and safety for assigned team

· Develop and maintain status as a Subject Matter Expert in the irrigation field.

· Maintain professional experience and expectation related to industry innovation and technology.

· Lead and present weekly service technician field meetings

· Provide staff feedback & training.

· Conduct performance evaluations.

· Implement standard operating procedures

· Ensure weekly safety inspections are completed. Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repair

· Report and document all accidents and safety near misses

· Adhere to company safety best practices.

· Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (includes education, skills and experience):

· Experience in field services sector, or route service-based industry.

· Leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· 1-3 years in a previous leadership role
