Journeyman Plumber
Job Class: Hourly Reports to: Operations Manager
POSITON SUMMARY:
As a journey plumber, you will work on specific plumbing tasks mainly around the irrigation
scope such as installation, repairs, and maintenance of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing
systems for residential, and commercial projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Pre-measure job sites to properly prepare for installation.
Install Plumbing equipment according to safety requirements, company standards, and
manufacturer specifications.
Conduct thorough inspections to identify plumbing issues and determine the best
course of action for repairs or replacements.

Ensure all installations are up to code.
Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.
Provide excellent customer service - speaking with customers about pricing and repair
details and making proper repairs and replacements to keep customers satisfied is a
major part of being a journeyman plumber.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (includes education, skills and experience):

Must be licensed in St. Louis County
3-5 years of experience
Building code knowledge - strong familiarity with building codes and current laws and
regulations affecting plumbers is crucial for those seeking to excel in this field.
Blueprint reading - when involved in new home or building installations, journeyman
plumbers must be able to read drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure proper
installation of new lines and pipes.
