Customer Service Representative

Location: Freehold, NJ or Dover, NJ (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Salary: $22–$24 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to manage inbound calls, assist customers with scheduling needs, and coordinate service dispatching for our Lawn Sprinkler Technicians. This role is essential to ensuring a seamless customer experience, particularly during transitions or acquisitions, and maintaining exceptional service standards across all interactions.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, be comfortable using CRM systems, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Dispatching

  • Schedule and dispatch technicians to customer locations

  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls with professionalism and efficiency

  • Create and assign work orders, and input data into the system accurately

  • Assess customer needs to ensure satisfaction and provide solutions

Communication & Customer Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers

  • Communicate clearly and effectively using phone, email, and CRM platforms

  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions, and follow up to ensure resolution

  • Represent the company with professionalism and a commitment to service excellence

Operational Support

  • Meet individual and team call-handling and performance goals

  • Assist in facilitating customer transitions during acquisitions

  • Perform administrative tasks such as generating reports and organizing records

  • Support special projects and adapt to additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications of the Customer Service Representative

Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Customer Service and Dispatching (preferably in home services)

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent phone and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred

  • Experience using ServiceTitan software is highly desirable

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent repetitive hand and arm motions with prolonged sitting

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, listen, reach, and occasionally stoop or kneel

  • Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for keyboarding and handling equipment

  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Noise level is typically low to moderate

  • Must be able to travel (up to 10%) within the metropolitan area
